Activation of Office 2013: Error code: 0X800700D/ 0xC004f017 / 0×80070005

Fix: Open office application in elevated mode (Run as administrator)


1. Right click on any office application and click on ‘Run as administrator’

Note: If it doesn’t work, then follow the below steps:

1. Open Command prompt (CMD) in elevated mode.

2. Now type the following command: net user administrator /active:yes

You should see a message that the command completed successfully. Restart the computer, and you’ll now see the Administrator account as a choice. (Note that the screenshots are from Vista, but this works on Windows 7) Login to the ‘Administrator’ user account.
3. Now open any office application and it will automatically get activated.
